What i'm reading at the moment...

These days i'm with a romance book, and... The DaVinci Code.... ( a bit late, but what to do, i couldn't find it!)

i've read 1/3 of the book, and 'til now, i find it to be a fine book. But when u read that kinda book, u've got to stay objective, and i dnt understand why some people have gotten all huffed up, because of some things said in the book. It's a nice mix of facts and fiction, u've got to know which are which and that's it...

Dan Brown, i've gotta say writes real well; u've got it all in the book: easy reading, suspense, humoristic moments, which sorta break the tension and all...

if u haven't read it, read it now, u won't be sorry...

My Celebrity Match!

i love doin' those internet quizzes and tests; most of them i get on Tickle - if you like Tests, go there, they're real cool... and true! Really!

well, i've done lots and lots of those tests, and among them there's a Celebrity Match! U'll say: oh this is stupid or what! I sort of thought so too while doing the test, all the while thinking what are they gonna tell me nw!!?

Well, they told me:

The Boy Next Door: Matt Damon

When it comes to love, you're looking for a man with "white picket fence" potential: the guy who will compliment your mom, helps clean the dishes and could melt the polar ice caps with his smile. He's not always perfect and can be a tad too predictable at times, but you'll love the fact that he's got a dependable job, coaches Little League on the weekends and still finds time to let you know how much he loves you. He's more "apple pie" than "devil's food cake" -- but that means the last thing he'll want to do is break your heart.

Will you believe me if i say it's true!!! Matt Damon has a small, 'good boy face' that i lke, and all that small paragraph afterwards is kinda true too...

Why Women Cry...

This something a friend - my coz actually - mailed me...

Why Women Cry

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him.

"I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why doe
s mother seem to cry for no reason?"

"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad
could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still
wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a
call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said:

"When I made the woman she had to be sp
ecial.

I made her shou
lders strong enough to carry the weight of the world,

yet gentle eno
ugh to give comfort.

I gave her an inner
strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the se
nsitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through
his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a w
oman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a
woman must be seen in her eyes , because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

Nice, huh!

Lilac Wine - Katie Melua

I lost myself on a cool damp night
Gave myself in that misty light
Was hypnotized by a strange delight
Under a lilac tree
I made wine from the lilac tree
Lost my heart in its recipe
It made me see what I want to see
and be what I want to be

But I think more than I want to think
I do things I never should do
I drink much more than I ought to drink
Because it brings me back you...

Lilac wine

Is sweet and heady,
Like my love
Lilac wine,

I feel unsteady,
like my love
Listen to me...
I cannot see, clearly
Isn't that he, coming to me nearly here?

Lilac wine

Is sweet and heady
Where's my love?
Lilac wine,

I feel unsteady,
Where's my love?

Listen to me, why is everything so hazy?
Isn't that he, or am I going crazy, dear?
Lilac Wine,

I feel unready
for my love...

feel unready for…my love…

Nine Million Bicycles - Katie Melua

There are nine million bicycles in Beijing
That's a fact
It's a thing we can't deny
Like the fact that I will love you till I die

We are twelve billion light years from the edge
That's a guess
No-one can ever say it's true
But I know that I will always be with you

I'm warmed by the fire of your love everyday
So don't call me a liar
Just believe everything that I say

There are six billion people in the world
More or less
And it makes me feel quite small
But you're the one I love the most of all

We're high on the wire
With the world in our sight
And I'll never tire
Of the love that you give me every night

There are nine million bicycles in Beijing
That's a fact
It's a thing we can't deny
Like the fact that I will love you till I die

And there are nine million bicycles in Beijing
And you know that I will love you till I die

I Cried For You - Katie Melua

You're beautiful so silently
It lies beneath a shade of blue
It struck me so violently
When I looked at you

B’others pass, they never pause
To feel that magic in your hand
To me you're like a wild rose
They never understand, why

I cried for you
When the sky cried for you
And when you went
I became a hopeless drifter
B’this life was not for you
Though I learned from you
That beauty need only be a whisper

I'll cross the sea for a different world
With your treasure, a secret for me to hold

In many years they may forget
This love of ours or that we met
They may not know
How much you meant to me

I cried for you
And the sky cried for you
And when you went
I became a hopeless drifter
B’this life was not for you
Though I learned from you
That beauty need only be a whisper

Without you now I see
How fragile the world can be
And I know you've gone away
But in my heart you'll always stay

I cried for you
And the sky cried for you
And when you went
I became a hopeless drifter
But this life was not for you
Though I learned from you
That beauty need only be a whisper
That beauty need only be a whisper

Just discovered...

Well, actually i didn't just discover this singer, it's more like 2-3 months ago... don't remember real well.

And i'd like to share a few of her songs with you. well, i'll give you the lyrics, which are real nice, and then you can find the song to listen to it.

The singer is Katie Melua. i first heard her when she 'participated' in a Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony - it was Mr. El Baradai who had won it.

The song was: "I cried for you". Then i heard "Nine Million Bicycles" - the one i like the most - and i searched for her songs!
